Charging €700 for a 3km tow is pretty cheeky, especially in an emergency situation where you have no other choice. They also seem to be lacking in friendly service. Definitely not recommended.

I had a flat tire over the weekend and was really glad I received such quick and uncomplicated help. Even though it was Sunday, they acted immediately, competently, and with a focus on finding a solution – so I was back on the road and able to drive home the same day. Breakdown in Marburg, engine overheating. The breakdown service was notified via app. After about three minutes, Schäfer contacted me by phone. The tow truck arrived, the car was charged, and the car was taken to the workshop. In between, I received a telephone consultation regarding costs that are not covered by ACE (where I am a member). The process was quick and straightforward, with transparent communication. Special thanks to the young employee who arrived with the tow truck. Very friendly, competent, and helpful. The boss can be proud of his self-trained "youngsters." Thanks for the quick help!
