Buying a used car is generally a bit different than buying a new one. Many things are very important and need to be considered to avoid disappointment. Trust and reliability play a particularly crucial role, especially when the transaction has to be conducted over a long distance. In my case, I had been searching for several weeks for a VW Tiguan with a beige leather interior and other less common extras (including a parking heater). I had been too late with two previous offers. Then I found what I was looking for at "Autogalerie Rehberg," and shortly after the ad appeared, I immediately contacted the seller, who is also the owner. We had excellent communication and exchange right from the start, and all my questions, and even more, were answered. I was impressed by Emil's honesty, which fostered a great deal of trust. For example, he made a video of the car for me and even started the engine, so I could get a very good impression of the car beforehand via WhatsApp, even from Berlin. He also pointed out a small scratch, which wasn't very visible in the video. That didn't bother me; after all, it's a used car, and in the big city of Berlin, it wouldn't be long before more scratches appeared anyway. Because I was paying a fair amount of money for the Tiguan, I also wanted to have an expert opinion or vehicle inspection carried out by an independent third party, which I would, of course, pay for in advance. He agreed to this, and we settled on the ADAC (German Automobile Club). Emil then took the time one day to drive the car to the ADAC branch in the next town for the inspection! That really deserves a lot of praise. Once the report was in and all the points, except for a worn windshield wiper, were confirmed as being in order, plus a test drive by the expert, nothing stood in the way of the purchase and the train trip to Herborn. Since I couldn't get temporary license plates in Berlin so quickly, Emil even took care of it for me at his local registration office! As I mentioned above, trust is very important, and with Emil, I felt I was in very good hands from the very beginning! We stayed in constant contact throughout the entire process, and he even picked me up from Herborn train station to take me to his dealership. Everything was perfectly organized, and the car was exactly what I was looking for. I was lucky enough to find the right used car and, even more so, to meet the right salesman, who handled the transaction with the best possible service and customer care. We chatted for about an hour in his office, and then I began my several-hour drive home. The Tiguan drove flawlessly, and it's a real joy to drive! I want to thank Emil for this truly excellent service from start to finish. Incidentally, I didn't haggle over the price at all, because the "complete package" with everything included was more than worth it. As a thank you, I even gave Emil a box of chocolates when I said goodbye. I hope he enjoyed them :-) ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED!
