We can only review the restaurant, not the hotel. The quality of the meat was very good, but unfortunately, the rump steak was only lukewarm when it came out of the kitchen. This was clearly evident from the fact that the herb butter didn't melt. The wait for the food, however, was unbearably long. We waited two hours for our meal, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. The fries were also lukewarm and tasted of old frying oil. The service was reasonably friendly, but quite slow and inattentive. Empty glasses sat on the table for a long time before being cleared. Only after we asked was a second beer brought, which was stale because it had been sitting there too long and none of the waiters seemed to care. Furthermore, we've never before seen a waitress working in sweatpants. All in all, only the quality of the meat was satisfactory.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gasthaus zur Post – Nieder-Moos (Freiensteinau) We ate there today and were absolutely delighted. For starters, we had goat cheese on a bed of salad, followed by a steak with Hokkaido pumpkin and rump steak with fresh horseradish – all perfectly prepared and incredibly flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive; we immediately felt at ease. A thoroughly enjoyable visit – highly recommended!

Friendly service, fantastically delicious food. Burgers and pork medallions were accompanied by delicious Federweisser and rounded off with peanut brittle vanilla ice cream (which was highly recommended to us by another guest). Pleasant conversation with the owners and staff 😊 Rustic, country-style decor and a very quiet, pleasant ambiance. We'd love to come back, thank you for the lovely evening.
