The wine tastes very good. The ribs with potato salad were something I've never had served in a traditional wine tavern before. The meat was oversalted; no butcher I trust would serve something like that. The potato salad looked mushy, like a bunch of potatoes. Tasteless.

Excellent winery! For me, the Josef Walter winery is one of the top addresses in Bürgstadt. The Frühburgunder and Spätburgunder wines, in particular, are vinified here with unparalleled precision. The result is delicate, lean wines with a cool style, rounded off with just the right amount of oak. Those who want to enjoy the wines' considerable aging potential today can access older vintages from their "treasure trove."

The Walter winery offers superbly crafted wines! For example, a fantastic sparkling wine, lovely Silvaners, but above all, of course, their Pinot Noirs. Their Frühburgunder (early-ripening Pinot Noir) is also wonderful, a grape variety that isn't the easiest to cultivate. Truly amazing: their treasure trove! Now also available at 075 in Nuremberg!
